Leaving Everything

Greetings Everyone,

I have emerged from an eleven-week Zen Buddhist priest training.  The training culminated in a ceremony Saturday, December 8th in which I was celebrated and appreciated by the Sangha as the Shuso for the practice period. I served in the position of Shuso which was to take a seat next to the Abbess to help support the students and their practice. I sat at her side, not mimicking, but seeing the nature of my life.  I met myself in the engagement of all those who were arising in meditation. I can only say a little right now.

Below is a link to the first talk I gave in our seven day Rohatsu sesshin or seven day silent retreat. I hope you find something for yourself in it. Be at rest, be at peace.
